High-Level Building Maintenance Across Scotland

Palmer & Co provides high-level building maintenance for commercial and managed properties across Glasgow. This page covers at-height works that sit alongside cleaning, but do not always need a dedicated service page of their own. That may include minor external repairs, inspection support, vegetation or moss removal, signage and banner works, high-level painting or glazing support where suitable.

The focus is specialist access-led work, not general facilities management. Our team helps clients deal with difficult-to-reach areas safely, with planning shaped around the building, access requirements, site restrictions and the people using the property.

Practical At-Height Works for Commercial Buildings

Many commercial buildings need small but important works carried out in areas that are difficult to access. A loose fitting, stained elevation, blocked high-level area, damaged sign or awkward maintenance task can become difficult when the work is above ground level, close to public areas or on a busy managed site.

Palmer & Co can support managing agents and facilities managers with practical at-height works that need proper access planning and experienced operatives. Where suitable, this can be carried out alongside window cleaning, gutter cleaning or wider external cleaning work.

Access-Led Planning for Difficult Areas

The right access method makes a significant difference to how safely and efficiently maintenance work can be completed. Some tasks may be suited to platform access, while others may need rope access, cradles or other site-specific methods.

Before work begins, Palmer & Co considers the height, surface, surrounding area, pedestrian routes, traffic restrictions and any operational limits on the site. This helps clients avoid unnecessary disruption and gives the team a clear plan for how the work should be carried out.

Minor Works, Reporting and Joined-Up Maintenance

Building maintenance is often most useful when it is approached as part of a wider planned visit. If a team is already on site for high-level cleaning, it may be possible to identify visible issues, carry out agreed minor works or report areas that need further attention.

This can help clients keep on top of smaller external building issues before they become more disruptive, supporting long-term building care and reducing the risk of avoidable repair or refurbishment costs. It also supports a more organised approach for portfolios, occupied buildings and sites where repeat visits, permits or access arrangements need to be carefully managed through a clear health and safety process.

Trusted by Commercial Clients Across Scotland

Client feedback helps show the trust placed in Palmer & Co by managing agents, facilities managers and commercial clients who need safe, reliable work carried out with minimal disruption.

Was on the market for a water fed pole for my new softwash set up, the boys there sorted it out and had everything in stock. Also got a chemical injector nozzle and a free brush head when purchasing the pole. All the stuff is on display so you can actually get hands-on to what you are wanting to buy.

I visited the store for a telescopic pole and water backpack. I've got no firm knowledge of the window cleaning trade, but the team at Palmer assisted me tremendously, providing the necessary fitments and assembly of the product. Great service. Great business. Great people. Thank you.

Story time On one dreichet day in the capital, my flatmate and I sat, staring out of the window waiting for inspiration to strike, when around the corner pulled up a fleet of Palmer and Co vans and a truck. We were stunned. The workforce stepped out, gleaming in the January drizzle and set to work cleaning the windows of the opposing building to us. We were in awe as three daring souls stepped into the capsule and were sent heavenward to the windows in the sky. Bravery. We realised we only had one chance to get this right as we entered onto the Spotify app. S Club 7 began to ring in all its glory, giving them the confidence to ‘Reach for Stars’... and the windows, they certainly sparkled like constellations on that day. Peace out.

Having audited this company at length, we have found them to be professional, diligent and they have the ability to demonstrate key attention to detail. 3Spires observed Palmer & Co.'s workforce perform their day to day functions window cleaning at height and it became apparent that not only do the management possess positive culture but it transcends through the work force too. We would recommend them to all.
