Façade, Render & Cladding Cleaning Across Scotland

Palmer & Co provides façade, render and cladding cleaning for commercial buildings across Glasgow and the surrounding areas. This work is often needed when external surfaces have become stained, weathered or affected by algae, dirt, traffic pollution or general build-up.

Every building is different, so the cleaning method needs to be properly considered before work begins. Our team assesses the surface, access requirements, surrounding areas and disruption risks before recommending a suitable approach, whether that involves soft washing, pressure washing, reach and wash, platform access or rope access.

Exterior Cleaning for Commercial Building Surfaces

Commercial façades, rendered elevations and cladding systems all need to be treated with care. The wrong cleaning method can leave poor results or risk damaging the surface, which is why Palmer & Co starts by looking at the building, the material and the cause of the staining before planning the work.

This service is often used on commercial offices, hotels and hospitality buildings, industrial and warehouse buildings and retail sites where the exterior appearance of the property matters. It can also be planned alongside window cleaning or gutter cleaning where several areas need attention.

Choosing the Right Cleaning Method

Façade, render and cladding cleaning can involve different methods depending on the surface and level of soiling. Soft washing may be suitable for certain rendered or coated surfaces, while pressure washing or specialist steam cleaning may be used where the surface and conditions allow.

Access also needs to be planned carefully. Some elevations can be cleaned using reach and wash systems, while others may need platform access, rope access or cradle systems. Palmer & Co selects the method that best suits the building, the material and the practical demands of the site.

Planned Around Occupied and Public-Facing Sites

Façade, render and cladding cleaning often takes place on buildings that remain open and occupied. That means the work has to account for entrances, pedestrian routes, staff, visitors, tenants, vehicles and neighbouring businesses. Planning is especially important where work is carried out at height, near public areas or across large elevations.

Palmer & Co can plan works around site restrictions, operating hours, public access and any additional requirements such as traffic management, permits or road closures where needed. This supports a safer, more organised clean and gives managing agents and facilities managers a clearer process from survey to completion.

Trusted by Commercial Clients Across Scotland

Client feedback helps show the trust placed in Palmer & Co by managing agents, facilities managers and commercial clients who need safe, reliable work carried out with minimal disruption.

Was on the market for a water fed pole for my new softwash set up, the boys there sorted it out and had everything in stock. Also got a chemical injector nozzle and a free brush head when purchasing the pole. All the stuff is on display so you can actually get hands-on to what you are wanting to buy.

I visited the store for a telescopic pole and water backpack. I've got no firm knowledge of the window cleaning trade, but the team at Palmer assisted me tremendously, providing the necessary fitments and assembly of the product. Great service. Great business. Great people. Thank you.

Story time On one dreichet day in the capital, my flatmate and I sat, staring out of the window waiting for inspiration to strike, when around the corner pulled up a fleet of Palmer and Co vans and a truck. We were stunned. The workforce stepped out, gleaming in the January drizzle and set to work cleaning the windows of the opposing building to us. We were in awe as three daring souls stepped into the capsule and were sent heavenward to the windows in the sky. Bravery. We realised we only had one chance to get this right as we entered onto the Spotify app. S Club 7 began to ring in all its glory, giving them the confidence to ‘Reach for Stars’... and the windows, they certainly sparkled like constellations on that day. Peace out.

Having audited this company at length, we have found them to be professional, diligent and they have the ability to demonstrate key attention to detail. 3Spires observed Palmer & Co.'s workforce perform their day to day functions window cleaning at height and it became apparent that not only do the management possess positive culture but it transcends through the work force too. We would recommend them to all.
